When The Perfecting People Project was originally thought of it began on the premise not to just be fashion conscious, but to be socially conscious as well. We wanted to plant the seed that a life worth living is a life dedicated to helping others. The Perfecting People Project believes that through faith and activism we can begin to change the world one donation, one volunteer act, and one cause at a time.
There are so many charities to donate to; therefore we have chosen a list of charities that support a number of different causes, for you to donate where your heart compels you to. All of the charities that we have been selected are rated B or higher by Charity Watch and/or have at least a 3 rating with Charity Navigator. The organizations that we have chosen generally spend 75% or more of their budgets on programs, spend $25 or less to raise $100 in public support, do not hold excessive assets in reserve, and receive "open-book" status for disclosure of basic financial information and documents. We want to help, and we know you do so this is our way of doing our part.
The Perfecting People Project is a twofold project, with two ways for you to help the world one small donation at a time.
The first way is by just simply donating $1 to your favorite charity. With each purchase you make at CopperEtiquette.com you have the option of adding $1 to your purchase price and Perfecting People Project will match your $1 making it $2. At the end of each month we will write a check out to the appropriate charity and our donation will go to support someone in need.
The second way is to purchase one of our Perfecting People Project T-Shirts. With each shirt purchase, 50% of the purchase price will be donated to the charity of your choice. Not only will you be helping your fellow man, you will be making a statement while doing it. Now doesn’t that just make sense?
Buying a simple T-Shirt or giving a $2 donation might not sound like a lot, but multiplied by many, it can be just what we need to fund the research to find a cure for aids, feed a hungry child in a developing nation, create a safe place for a student to go to after school or ensure that a veteran never has to be homeless again.
